Isabell Welpe has received several national and international awards for her teaching and writing. As a management scholar Isabell Welpe is a leading expert on how organizations and their leaders succeed in digital transformation, innovate work and working together, integrate digital technologies such as AI and Web3, and create an innovative culture. She has been recognized as among the Top 40 under 40 of the „Digital Elite" by the magazine Capital and one of the "Leading 40 thinkers in HR".
Isabell is a highly engaging keynote speaker winning audiences through her interactive and and entertaining "Ted-talk" style. She includes both the latest international management research as well as original examples and insights from corporate practice alongside memorable anecdotes and concrete actionable take-aways in her talks.
She is the author of the Management Book of the Year 2015 "The Democratic Organization" and in her current projects, Isabell M. Welpe focuses on the impact of new digital technologies, such as AI and Web3 on organizations and the future of leadership as well as work and organizational designs. Isabell has repeatedly spoken at international innovation and technology conferences. Her speaking clients include Fortune 500 firms as well as public organizations and family firms.
Isabell also co-hosts Web3&, a podcast that explores the next generation internet and how it will impact organizations in different industries.
Isabell M. Welpe studied management at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany and visited at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, USA. In addition, she completed an MSc at the London School of Economics. She has been a visiting researcher at the Keck Graduate Institute, Claremont, the University of Minnesota and the Max Planck Institute for Economics. She is currently a research fellow at the University College London. Her research is covered in the media, such as the Harvard Business Manager, MIT Sloan Management Review.
